Gifts & Warmth - What Matters Most

❄️ Important Message About Families in Need:

All the families we deal with live in severe deprivation. Most families cannot afford heating.

We ask that over a gift you provide them with a hooded blanket, hats, gloves or warm socks as a gift. If you can afford a toy/gift for the children as an extra then that's wonderful, but warmth comes first.

Preparing Your Hamper - Important Guidelines

✅ DO USE:

Sturdy bags for life - These are durable and can handle the weight of hamper items

❌ DO NOT USE:
  • Cardboard boxes - We cannot accept these
  • Thin plastic bags - They tear easily
  • Very large bags - Unless for gifts only, they tear due to weight
  • Cardboard gift bags - They get ruined/damp/tear upon delivering

Key Guidelines:

1. We only accept bags for life - NO CARDBOARD BOXES PLEASE
2. Please consider how heavy your bags get - If you cannot lift it, neither can we.
3. Please DO NOT use VERY big bags - Unless these have gifts in them, they tend to tear due to weight.
4. NO CARDBOARD GIFT BAGS - Although these look lovely, please refrain from using them as they tend to get ruined/damp/tear upon delivering.

How Many Bags? General Rule

📦 General Rule:

Please allow one bag per person in the family (with an extra bag if needed) - the rule of thumb is one mixed bag for each member of the family.

Example: Family of 4

Family Dynamic: HPC1 - Mum, Dad, Boy 8 years, Girl 4 years = 4 bags or 5 bags (please stay within this guideline)

Example of bag labelling below:

Labeling Your Bags - VERY IMPORTANT!

🏷️ Please make sure you label your bags clearly!

Please envisage over 5,000+ bags in the hall. Clear labeling is essential for organization.
